Let’s do this quick and dirty (no pun intended.) Here’s a list of 8 great ways to prevent premature ejaculation (PE) in no particular order. 1. Take the Edge Off
One way to prevent premature ejaculation is to, well, steel your own thunder. That is, masterbate before your big date. Just about every guy reports they can last longer after having a first orgasm. Call it planning ahead.

2. Get a Work Out
The gym is great, but I’m not talking about PE – but rather, the PC. This is the muscle that gives you the power to hold it in (or let it go) whether urinating or ejaculating. By consciously stopping and starting the flow of urine each time you visit the bathroom, you are strengthening these muscles, and gaining more control over your ejaculatory response.

3. Take a Deep Breath
Relax, slow down, stay a while, and enjoy yourself – as opposed to vigorously thrusting you’re way into premature ejaculation. Prevent PE by choosing to practice deep abdominal breathing during sex. This gives you something to focus on besides orgasm, and it helps you remain more relaxed, which also contributes to preventing premature ejaculation.

4. Start and Stop
Once you’re on the edge, or having approached your point of no return – stop. Let the feeling subside, then rinse and repeat. This one great technique should tack on a few extra minutes all by itself, if you give it an honest effort.

5. Squeeze Play (Pun Intended)
ditto on #3 above, except, once you stop, have your partner squeeze firmly on the tip of the penis head. Wait until the urge passes, then get back in the saddle.

6. Down to the Short Strokes
Focus more of your effort on stimulating her clitoris, and the entry to the vagina, rather than deep thrusting. This heightens her pleasure, while being less stimulating to you, a great way to prevent premature ejaculation.

7. Get Underneath
Being on the bottom during intercourse supports the concept of more shallow penetration, as noted above. It also gives your partner more control, and reduces the stimulation on your penis.

8. Shift Your Focus
This is another mental one, it’s kind of simple. Don’t think about having an orgasm. And, don’t think about NOT having an orgasm. You’re brain doesn’t interpret “no” signals the way we might think. For instance, try this: don’t think about the color red. See what I mean?
