Lasting longer in bed is one of those skills that just about every guy would like to get better at. Most of us are not born with the inate ability to contrl ejaculation at will. In fact, I would argue that we are probably hard wired not to last very long in the love making act, from a survival and procreation perspective.

But anyway, there may be a few natural born Casanovas, but for the most part, lasting longer in bed is a set of learned skills that we have to practice and work at, in order to get any good at it.

This set of skills as I call it involves both physical training, as well as mental. And as a foundation, good health, nutrition, and physical fitness (to a reasonable degree) all play a role in helping us guys last longer in bed.

Here a few pointers to help you on your way to becoming a longer lasting lover.

Tips to Last Longer in Bed

Don’t obsess on ejaculating, and don’t obsess on not ejaculating. Either way, you ejaculate much faster if you do.

Get plenty of water on a daily basis. This helps with overall health, and plays a big role in sexual health for men.

Pace yourself. Keep a steady rhythm, and slow down when you feel yourself approaching the point of no return.

Focus completely on what will feel good for your partner, instead of yourself. This will keep your mind off of your own ejaculation, and your partner will be grateful for your efforts (and likely will reciprocate.)

Use deep abdominal breathing during sex, and focus on your breath, especially if you feel yourself approaching orgasm. This can help you delay ejaculation.

The more you practice these tips for lasting longer in bed, the better you’ll get at preventing premature ejaculation.

This is a quick update, and a kind of sequal to my post from the other day about how Hubpages flagged and unpublished my hub called Last Longer – Bed Room Stamina.

Even though I had re-published it at Squidoo, I was bound and determined to get that Hub live again. The main reason was that prior to the hub being un-published by hubpages, I had successfully submitted it at Digg, and my digg submission itself is still live, and in fact is showing up prominantly in Google results for relevant searches.

Any blogger and online publisher knows that this is golden, because it provides needed exposure and traffic to our articles, hubs, squids, and blogs. After all, if we don’t get exposure, or traffic, how can we call ourselves self-respecting “online publishers/bloggers”

So, back to the story. I made some revisions to the hub, re-submitted it for editorial approval, and now it is indeed live again (woo-hoo!) My secret you may ask? I simply went through the Hub, line for line, and identified any word and/or instance of “overly descriptive” language that that I could find, and replaced it with something neutral and/or more subtle. Instead of “ejaculate”, I used “finish”. I described the act of “masturbation” as “getting some practice – alone…” I think you get the point.

Anyway, I was happy to find an email in my inbox today informing me that the re-written version has been approved and the hub is now live. Check it out: Last Longer Bed Room Stamina

I recently created a lens on Squidoo about the subject of lasting longer in bed, entitled ” Last Longer – Bed Room Stamina for Men”.

The interesting thing about this is that I first had created this as a hub on Hubpages. To my dismay, although the information in the article was very professionally written and devoid of any tasteless references or vulgarity, my hub was flagged by the Hubpages staff as having “adult content” and automatically unpublished.

I couldn’t believe it. I had found about 5 or more other hubpages on this subject, some of which frankly had lewd references right in the titles. Things like “How to Hold Your Load”…! My hub was extremely tactful and even family friendly in the choice of words I used to describe everything I was talking about.

So, angered, I wrote an email to the managing editor of Hubpages, demanding an explanation, and pointing out examples of the other Hubs I had seen. I finally got a (very short) reply days later, that simply said “your hub has descriptive language of the sex act. The other hubs you mentioned as examples ALSO violate our terms, but had gone unnoticed and are now flagged for editing…” This was the exact OPPOSITE of the reaction I was expecting, because I thought anyone with any sense could see that my hub was a well written article about preventing premature ejaculation, a health problem affecting many men, and not just some article to be filed under “adult congtent.” And on top of it, I got some fellow hubbers in trouble without meaning too!

Anyway, I simply left the hub unpublished, and took a carbon copy of it over to their biggest competitor, Squidoo and created a lens there. Squidoo does allow “adult content” but they flag it with a double-opt in splash page to make sure people know what they are about to read. Anyway, you can read the whole “last longer bed…” lens now at Squidoo. Please come back to comment on it if you like it. I especially think my choice of images is really on target.
